imadethismistake is an Experimental Folk Punk band from Tallahassee, Florida, with only one real member, Kylewilliam Campol, and a revolving cast of exterior musicians. imadethismistake fuses a blend of abrasive folk-inspired music with spoken word vocals, which make them stand out stylistically. Kylewilliam is originally from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
imadethismistake formed in 2005 when Campol's previous band, The Fluent, had broken up. He recorded his first EP on a 4-track tape recorder in Coral Springs, Florida, and released it under the title "The Hatchet and The Princess" in November 2005. Campol followed up the recording with a much more polished and diverse EP, "The Hypothetical Child's Hypothetical Situation," on June 6, 2006. Both of the first two records were self-released under the moniker safe!!!forever!!! recording company.
imadethismistake announced that they are currently working on writing for an untitled new release for sometime in 2008, and will be heading to europe to tour in December/January of 2007/08, respectively.
